Gixxer 12 Bars

You guys that have made 12 bars for your gixxers, did you follow the curved subframe back and then taper out after the frame, or come striaght back and space it out towards the end of the subframe.

Re: Gixxer 12 Bars

we did ours from the rear footpegs with new bolts allthe way through the footpeg, subframe and bar, then made little support brackets that come out of the bottom of the tail that bolt to the back of the subframe. i'll be at lakeland, stop by and take a look. it works killer and requires no cutting of anything!!!!

Re: Gixxer 12 Bars

FI bars are the best i've seen...very sleek and not obtrusive to your bike in both looks and function. they also scrape perfectly...the most stable bar i've tried. personally, i won't even think about a different bar.

i have not tried any other 'manufacturers' though.

take it for what it's worth

Too bad their so long you have to shorten them change the anlge and reweld them so the bike will atleast park. By the time you do all that you could have made one for $30 and a trip to home depot like I did. Glad my friend wasted money on his before I bought one.
