Actually, I wasn't arguing, I was offering advice... and as you can see by what others have posted, I was right. Go check the video.... then check your attitude.

you laugh, but I almost considered it, lol. Like back in the day when your dad said you were in trouble and you go put everything you go on so the belt won't sting, lol.

Try this: black insulation foam for chilled water lines, not the **** that you wrap your copper plumbing with, but the the industrial stuff. Find any mechanical contractor in your area and ask 'em to hook you up with some chiller foam. The stuff is beautiful and it's so easy to work with. Just use 100% silicone on the tank and when done, you can pull it all off in practically one piece. The foam has a smooth and a rough side, and seen used in anything from bike seats to racing gear padding, even chiller lines insulation. And it's free

ya, i saw that in person.....i can't remember his name but his booth was setup next to ours at the stuntlife.com event.

he showed me his bike, he cut the top of the tank off, and welded a flat piece of steel on it and re-welded the lid further back so he only lands on flat surface. he had no tank pad either.

my tank lid stabs me in teh *** so i thought about doing what he did and making it flat. he told me how to do it and everything. pretty good idea.
