load-up the front end up before you get too hard on the brake. if it locks dont freak just get off the brake as fast as posible!

Get the best front tire you can, M1, or something at that level. Run about 20 psi, maybe 17 if its cold out.

make sure that your tire aint cold warm it up a bit. throw away that battlelax tire. remember that your more riding the brake and not just grabing the brake. the thing i do to is i stand back and the bounce myself in forward. the bounce help to keep the bike straight and make it easyer to get the back off the ground.

What he said works for me. Get to the speed you want load the suspension with your front brake and bouce your weight on he seat a little as you give it more brake. My front tire has never skid doing it that way.

You know, don't even worrie about locking it up. Chances are in your first few times you will not even get it up farther than a foot or so. You will get a feeling for it quick. Just keep your eyes locked on a spot ahead of you to judge how high the rear gets. As far as tires and pressure, I ran D207's with 25psi with no troubles. It is all in practice.......
