So now i can power up second on my 600!
I feel like im finaly learning to stunt. I ride with people on litres that can barley clutch it up. So anyways a couple of nights ago we went to our stunt strip and i felt like practicing second gear wheelies. Iv'e never really practiced them. i would ocasionally try and clutch it up but i never like doing it. I would usually get it about a foot at most. So im bouncing away and finally i start to get the technique. The bikes hopping up about 6 inches. Then a foot. Then a foot and a half. So i pull over talking to my other friend and he tells me there only coming up a few inches. So i get out there and get up to 45 and smash on the pegs and whack the throttle. The ****ing wheel came up so i high and i rode it out a while. I was so proud! Now i can do it all the time.

The trick is to hit the throttle 100% Once the shocks are on there way back up. In other words as you bottom your suspension out, the second you feel it start to rise back up WHACK the throttle. Ultimatley your gonna hit the throttle at the verry bottom of suspension travel....
And dont forget to bounce with all your weight. Legs bent on the way down and stiff on the way up. And try and cover that rear brake.....
And buy a yamaha

oh yeah Yamaha is lighter than mine. I just gotta have to learn how to use more rpm to gut it and bring the front tire up in air. when I dropped my bike I noticed it 's much heavier than my old bike I had a Yamaha fzr 600. I was told to stand up and try to get the weight off by leaning back a little so I ll try and see what happens.

CLUTCH IT!!! naw I'm serious...after about a week of bouncing it up, I was like im gonna learn how to clutch it. If you wanna learn how to do any slower stuff or even high chairs/tank wheelies your gonna need to clutch....especially on a six....so even though its cool you can do the bounce up, id say atleast make an attempt to learn clutching

So you are doing that on an R6???? I have a 2001 and I am still trying to learn to pull the front wheel up.... In first I am starting to clutch it alittle but in 2nd I cant even get it to hop off the ground.. I have a problem bouncing it I guess. I am not to good at that. Maybe you guys could explain that to me alittle better. Thanks Joe..

its cool when you first learn how to bounce it but now you should really work with the clutch. I have only been stunting for like 6 months but the clutch feels way safer once you get the hang of it, plus it is much more consistant. 2nd gear on my f4i with stock gearing gets it up just fine clutching it so i think most of the other 600's should be able to do the same. You need to be very careful bouncing it because in my experience the front tire pops up instead of the rising feeling you get from clutching it.
