So I made/am making this cage for my f2, and I still am going to weld up a top bar where the green is, but I was wondering if I should do a cross bar too? What exactly is it for on most cages? On a FI cage its obviously needed as its the only support on the contacting tube, but on beefier cages where there's already multiple supports, is it necessary? I wouldn't think that it would add much strength being as long as it and not even being a straight across peice, but this is the first cage Ive made so. Orange and red are my questionable crossbars. Also, that top contact post is secured to the frame, its just there to help prevent rolling onto the bars. It doesnt hit at the same time as the lower post. So I assume I need one type of support for the main contact post.
