Riding with Choke
i was told to use the choke to keep the bike going when I let go of the trottle, when I do this the bike slows down too much to do any stunts, what is the trick to keeping the bike at speed without touching the trottle?

what kinda tricks are you trying to do? i have a 2003 gsxr 600 and i use the choke for everything w/ no problems. if you wanna do like a christ or surf or any of those tricks you need to find a gear where you are at about 3500rpm and doing a speed comfortable for you. i use 3rd gear and that is about 28 mph unless i am goin up hill then it is like 20. For slow wheelies i set it so just sitting there the bike is at 3000rpm, and once under a load it is at about 1800-2000rpm. once your at balance point you can let go of the throttle and the choke will pull the bike for as long as you can keep it in the bp. If this doesn't help you can buy and idle cable for an older gixxer (my friend ordered one for a 99 GSXR750) but i am sure others will work. when you get this you need to prop up your tank and the cable will replace the idle screw on your throttle bodies (left side sitting on the bike). The cable even comes w/ a mount so you can make it look factory. I think it cost him like 30 bucks for the part new, i just got 2 used ones for like 5 bux each from my local junk yard so you might wanna try searching there. I hope i've been of some help
