F4i problem

One of my friends just put together an F4i from scratch. It wont kick over unless he open this piece up and uses a ratchet to turn it back. Dont know what any of this is called but you can see in the video. Ive heard in the past taht this is how you test compression on a motor but what about if it tries to kick over but then just stops like in the video. Is the motor toast or is there something that can be done to fix it Appreciate any help

Re: F4i problem

try it with stator cover off , sometimes pieces can jam a motor there
