get lowww
I am short, 5'0. My bike is lowered but it still isn't low enough for me. I have one more notch to go on my dog bones, i went all the way down before but my back tire was scraping my tail. so going all the way down on my bones is not an option for me. Know any ways to make a bike short person friendly? My other problem is when its on the lowest setting its perfect height for me.. but of course then i have almost no ground clearnace making any bump at all a hazard. I heard a while back from a friend something i can do to the front end of my bike but any suggestions?

Re: get lowww
you can drop the front of the bike by raising the forks but be careful because if you go too low the tire can hit the radiator when you go over a bump and if you go too far the fender will hit the upper and break

The only things i can think of to solve this problem are:
Get the seat scooped out
lower the yokes on the forks
Lower the rear end
Lower the subframe mounting points to lower the position of the seat
Hope this helps

Shave the seat, the sides as well. Narrowing the seat gives you better reach. lower the front end like OMR said and reposition the clipons so you're not reaching for them. If you can put the clipons ontop of the tripple it would help a little. I did this to my GF 636 and it works for her. she also has the Icon Bombshell boots that are like high heels which helps.

That is what I was thinking.

Shorter people have the same problem with the 06 and up R6, the seat is too wide for short people. I'm 5'9"-5'10" and I can barely set flat footed on my 06 and 08. The R1 has a narrower seat, allowing your legs to go straight down instead of out and down.
That's good advice, shaving the seat. I would shave it and make the foam more narrow then raise the bike up for a little more clearance.
