The F4i Bog and how to fix it

Any tips?

Ive never had it before the new stunner I just built, any tips on getting rid of it.

I pretty much didnt even put the O2 sensor in, never have, and never really had problems.

Ive run the vacuum lines correctly and tripple checked, Ive blocked off half the air holes coming in for low end torque, Ive done the clean air mod, Ive done pretty much everything outside of a throttle body sync and it just isnt working.

I was thinking of swapping the stock exhaust back on and see if that helps.

Lemme know if youve done it and how.

1. Stock exhaust would be a try.
2. a few washers blocking the flow of the aftermarket pipe would bring the bottom up.
3. Tape off the intake until the bog clears.

The 02 is on a backup mode or more or less, runs the 1Atmo inside the black box. This is like open loop set, where the 02 would be the closed loop. And with the hack in play w/out the 02, I don't see a difference you hook the 02 back up. That sort of wants to make me take my 3 mods and play that out. Being, I'd start with the easy one is the tape off of the intake track.

Re: The F4i Bog and how to fix it

I had it real bad and we deduced that at real low rpms 2 of the cylinders werent getting spark. First I replaced all 4 coil packs, and that seemed to work, for about a week. Then I went to replace the regulator/rectifier since i had one laying around. I found that the plug between it and the stator was fried, replaced both and its working great now. Ive heard of a couple other people have similar problems with that plug getting fired, so look into that.

I changed out the plugs already, did the taping of the airbox, and im not sure what you mean by the washers on the exhaust.

might try the rectifier but I highly doubt,. alld plugs are good

mikey check into tb sync...that really helps the f4i out

Ill check the plugs out but I know ive checked them all twice so far, except maybe the ground direct to the block, thats a bitch to get to.

Imma try the stock exhaust and changing the oil today

Re: The F4i Bog and how to fix it

The trick is to weld a nut on the side of a washer; drill a hole in the pipe; bolt the washer at so many angles to flow the slow is slow the flow like a gate. I use a muffler bearing on my bike. Truth be told.. Made the bike a lot quieter since I gutted the muffler. So, basically, you have a few options.

Goof the group? Me tell a lie?

Works for me!

I've called 5 different autozones and none of them have a muffler bearing...

make sure you use iridium plugs
