Starting problem...
So i layed my bike down on the right side saturday, just fairing damage/bend bars.... Or so i thought, i rode it today for about 40 or so miles and it ran fine.... no problems whatsoever, i got home. Parked it, went back out not even 10 minutes later and it wouldnt start.... It doesnt even sound like it wants to.
Was JUST running perfectly and now wont start, any ideas as to what it could be? Spark is good, battery is still pretty new and was just starting it up fine..

Re: Starting problem...
maybe the plugs got filed.. did it run while it was on its side? or did the tip over sensor... what yr make model bike? take plastic off and inspect components under the side that slid on the ground. dumping fuel or lean missfire not all cylinders firing properly...

Re: Starting problem...
Not sure if that would help at all, nothing visible to the engine is damaged.... i think its the stator cover? on the right side is a lil scraped, but thats it, wasnt a hard impact, just a slide. It ran fine today... still backfires here and there though as i pull away.

Re: Starting problem...
Cover on the right side of the motor should contain the crank sensor. They don't like getting banged up very much.
Bad or misadjusted crank sensor will cause misfiring. No doubt about it.
Since there is damage on that side cover, I would check there first. Download a manual and troubleshoot if everything else on the bike still seems intact.
Hope that helps some.

Re: Starting problem...
Not entirely sure why you want to mix some race fuel, but be cautious.
MR 9 or 11 should be ok. VP U4 or 4.2 will blow your **** up if it is run straight on an unmapped motor.
Some race fuels will also corrode or gum up if left in too long, but I'm not an expert and don't know which ones they are.
Troubleshoot and isolate your problem before randomly throwing race fuel at the bike.
