yeah i wouldnt mess with it urself sometimes valves are adjusted while running

636's are a shim and cap style so it takes careful measuring and some math to get the right size shims

To test cam chain tensioner. (see if its whats causing tick) put bike in 6th gear, bike off. pull in clutch roll backwards pop clutch.. if the noise is gone, get a manual tensioner.

ive heard this alot and i would think accelerating and engine braking would put alot more slack on the chain then any one could possibly do by rolling thier bike backwards and thats when the cct adjusts when there is slack on the cam chain

i dunno man, worked on my f3... maybe i causes more slack cause the engine is moving in reverse?
