I have a 929 and have the same problem.. Might sound kinda ghetto but I used electrical tape to hold it down a little more so when I go to put my foot on it it doesn't fold up and as stated above you won't worry about breakage..Worth a try..

my buddy has a

929 and he tapped both the rear pegs

if you look you have a hole in the peg and he tapped it and put a bolt in there so they don't fold up

i think I would rather worry about replacing a bracket and peg when I wreck vs falling off the bike before even getting the stunt underway.
.
.
. besides if you wreck who is worried about that bracket anyways when you have plastic damage(yeah I know who cares) engine cover damage

and bodily damage?

The first time i tried to park on the bar i ended up doing an ape hanger but not on pupose. Could it have been my peg folding? My buddy watching told me i hit perfect....?

on my 929 i do'nt have a problem. Lock your left leg and lean back off the bike. If you try to stand up with the bike then you'll put too much backwards weight on the peg but if you lean backwards, extend your arms and hang off the bike then you are pushing more downward (or forward when you are in a wheelie) on the peg and it won't fold.

if that doesn't work, cut a washer in half and put it next to the peg and pound it into the bracket next to the peg to cause friction to keep the peg in place.
