umm, your 2003 600 gix oem is 16 front 45 rear, just an fyi. and whats wrong with stock sprockets??? it could be a bad case of O.E. if stock sprockets wont wheelie.

power commander wont keep the top end from being reduced when changing sprocket sizes.

Basic wheelies = stock sprockets..... from what I been told step ur game up on the stock boys cuz when u start gearing its a whole new feel.

one tooth in the front = 3 in the rear you will not notice a difference you go up from 15 to 16 tooth in the front and go up from 42 to 45 you either need to 16 front 42 rear be higher gear more speed or 15 front 45 rear for lower gear less speed also remember if you go bigger in rear will need a extra chain hope this helps stock sprockets will probably be your best power commander wise especially needed if any other changes ever done

+1 Shouldn't have to change the gearing. Try practicing.

Re: What sprocket to run for basice wheele

just go 1 down in the front and 2 up in the back
thats what i had when i first started wheeling on my gsxr750 back in the day. you should have no problem with 2nd gear on stock sprockets but whats nice about -1 +2 is it gives u a little extra umphh for spreaders and such and comes up easier in 1st 2nd and 3rd. and with that setup u can even slow it down to about 5 mph in a parking lot and work on no handers and stuff. fun fun fun.

if you go to 1tail.com they have sprocket kits and a place to ask questions that they will post with the answers, this will help you alot and answer alot of your questions about sprocket sizes and chain lengths.
