tall guy bike setup

every time i do stand up's I end up squatting because it feels wierd if i lock my back leg...would a cheater peg behind the stock location help this???? how do you other tall guys set yours up..or am i just being a ***** thanks for help in advance

You'll get used to it. You shouldn't have your leg "locked", anyway. No, you don't need a "cheater peg"......the passenger peg already serves this purpose. Staggered wheelies feel wierd at first....just takes time. My boy MikeOnTheBike is 6'7", and has NO mods done to his bike to compensate for his hieght. Seat time, man........seat time.

I'm 6'4 and just rode and 08 600rr sunday. Standups suck like on most 600rrs.

OMR subcage is the solution. Pulls the pegs back a few more inches. Then it is alla bout seat time.

I wish someone made something for a 03 R1 ... IMO the rear pegs are a little high.... I dont do regular stand ups anymore because I have broken two rearset bolts..... I have bug OMR for months lol but he doesn't make anything for R1's..... anyone know who makes subcages for R1's

I just stuck to the old school 9r. I am 6'4 ish and i just dont feel confortable on a 6. It might be me, i feel way to big on the new 6's

Yeah.....I think he told me that there was one avail for him to use about a month before I asked him, originally. Bad timing....

Did you see Johnny P's Kawi Monster bike build? Print up a pic of his subcage he did using the stock brackets and take that, along w/ your bike to a good welder....they'll hook it up, I'm sure.
