Training Wheels

I was just wondering if someone could give me a little incite on wheelies. I can pull them but get scared and bring the front end right back down.

My question is how long and what technique did you take to learn how to balance a wheelie to ride on it?

I can power it up in first gear with my 03 gixxer stock. A guy told me the other day at a shop to drop one in front and that should be plenty for me to do wheelies through 2nd.

You can wheelie that thing w/o gearing it! Just takes time to learn, be patient and learn to clutch it up in 2nd gear.

When it comes to learning wheelies everyone takes a different amount of time. Just practice and it will come to you.

cool i have a 01 gixxer 600 im also learning how to wheelie better i started clutching it like 2 weeks ago.

I clutch it in 1st gear at 35 or so MPH. i have stock gearing too so in second it does is come up about 6 inches and goes back down and this is when i dump the clutch at redline practically. so gotta change the gearing if i wanna do anyting in second

keep practicing man!

Your 600 should pick up EASILY in 2nd gear. There is no need for you to change
