TAG Risers

I want to put some dirt bars on my bike, and am wondering what everyone is using for the conversion. I want to be able to keep my GPR Stab.

Also, what else will I need? (Throttle tube, longer brake lines, etc.)

Thanks in advance.

Very respectfully,
Buz

www.naarden.biz is the way to go for the risers. It may be difficult to keep the gpr because the hight of the bars in every case is outrageous! even with the lopwest bars, like protaper universal low u still look like you have ape hangers. but u may be able to drill wide enough to fit it in depending on your triple tree.
U will need longer break lines for sure, depending on the hight of the bars u will likely need throttle cables also.. thats it but also make sure u drill the set hole for the throttle tube properly and it will make a world of difference.

Re: TAG Risers

Also..... how do all the guys that run dirt bars keep their dampeners? Or is it just a different brand they use?

Re: TAG Risers

you can check out ho-hey for damper brackets..thats how to go. If you want a dirt set up I have one with pro-taper risers and Carmicheal mx bars still in really nice shape

Re: TAG Risers

Will those allow a damper setup?

Re: TAG Risers

unless you stack risers or buy super gay tall risers you will have to come up with another damper. I've never seen a bike with a gpr and risers. don't think its gonna work youd have to have like 2"risers and that would just look and ride wierd. IMO

Re: TAG Risers

Yeah... that is too high. I have been looking at those dirt bar clip ons at Full Throttle. Just wonder how they would handle a dinger.

Re: TAG Risers

I have heard pretty good things. not to push my ****.... but I would say try a friends bike or something before spending hella money. its really something people seem to love or hate, or buy some cheaper stuff and see you can always sell your damper quick on any site then get a shock style one. people are saying those are the **** anyways I might sell my gpr and try one,

Re: TAG Risers

yeah im looking into that one. I might just get a bracket from ho0hey and run a new model stock on off any bike as they work good like a gsxr. think it looks kinda cool to. and my gpr always has a little spot near dead center were it doesn't have any damping. I just like swapping **** out all the time I think let me know my set-up is clean gold bars not to tall and blach risers you wouldn't need much maybe a brake line and re-route your throttle cables. Im not using them so I'll hook it up if you want your not far so shipping wont be to much

Re: TAG Risers

Yeah it's more low profile than the older version. I'm running a 929/954 front on my f4i with a hohey upper tripple
