Re: gsxr oil leak
Sounds like you disturbed the gasket for the valve cover.
It's been cooking on the engine for the last 6 years. My advice is to just pay a couple bucks and get another from the dealer.
If you absolutely have to, you can put a little bit of gasket sealant around the valve cover with the old gasket and hope it seals up. The stuff I personally prefer is TOYOTA FIPG. Costs more than regular sealant, but I have never had a problem with it.
I would still recommend replacing the gasket and while you are at it, do the plug seals as well.
Hope that helps.

Re: gsxr oil leak
i fucked up one of the 6 bolts that hold the valve cover, should it still hold fine with a new gasket? i messed it up inside the engine not the bolt, its the middle one...this is a bitch, ill go tomorrow and buy a new seal gasket..

Re: gsxr oil leak
Do you mean you stripped out the threads the bolt screws into?
If that is the case, it won't tighten down enough to prevent it from leaking again even with a new gasket. If the threads in the head can't be tapped out, then I would probably recommend using a Helicoil to make some new threads.
Use caution and be careful for the aluminum on the head is very soft metal.
