f4i dead while riding it.

While I was riding home today my f4i died, battery is fine and it turns over and gets spark, the fuel pump is not turning on when I turn the key to the on position though.

Today it's pretty ******* hot too, it was a long *** push the last mile home in full gear.

Bike has'nt been crashed hard lately, though I did highside it in my alley yesterday but it ran great for 4 hours today.

Re: f4i dead while riding it.

fuel pump fuse is under the seat and check the wiring coming from the fuel pump to the harness....relays are on the right side of the passenger seat, opposite of the rectifier

Re: f4i dead while riding it.

swapped the 2 relays and no difference.

What is the fuel pump fuse labeled as or what does it look like?

Re: f4i dead while riding it.

hoping to try a new fuel pump tomorrow, though reading an old thread about the same thing happening to someone it kinda sounds like tip sensor can cause it, might go have a look at the wires to see if they came loose or some ****.

Re: f4i dead while riding it.

9.87v off the ignition, checked the connection between the tip sensor and it seems to still be connected fine.

Re: f4i dead while riding it.

fuel pump is ok, tested it off the bike, the 12v I was getting was back feed thru the ground.

Yo dude... I just got my **** to work! Under ur driver seat is a fuse box... Attached to it on the side is a little white one with one fuse in it! Diode fuse, check it that was the problem with mine! I guess it is the power between ur pump and relay... Let me know and good luck bro! WERD
