636 clutch/trans problem

636 clutch/trans problem

to shift gears i really have to stomp the shifter or literally kick it up to move. when i shift down into first going from nuetral to 1st makes a terrible grinding noisse. anyone know what the problem is clutch trans and what do i need to do to fix it

sounds like your clutch isnt completely disengaging (or engaging depending on how you look at it)..... adjust it and try that. On the lever, thread the adjuster out so that it is further out of the perch.

Or down on the cable, on the perch on the clutch cover, adjust it so that more of the threaded part of the casing are on the top-side of the perch and see if that helps you out at all.
