Fuel in air filter? Ram Air ZX6
Hey,
I was replacing my spark plugs along with well everything:
Ha not really. Just deep ****:
Header gaskets
Front wheel bearings
Sprockets
Anyways I was cleaning the air filter and noticed it was soaked with gas. Not sopping but smelled like it. I've since cleaned it but want to prevent this.
The bike has RamAir and the air box drain lines are properly routed. No evidence of fuel in it. Checked the service manual and didn't have a diagnosis. Getting full combustion and runs smooth. Only a dusting of carbon buildup on the old plugs.
Ideas? It's not causing a problem just curious. Dirty carbs could be it but I rebuilt them a year ago.
1993 ZX-6E1
Parts come Tuesday afternoon, should be back to this soon enough.
