ok i got most of my swingarm crap off now i stuck...how do i get the pieces out (says in manual to use the special honda tool) i know people on here dont use that ****... sooo whats the deal,,,
ive got the rod out,,how do you get the spacer things loose enough to take the swingarm off??

I just made one out of a piece of pipe that was that diameter and ground out the spaces, worked like a charm.

i use a spark plug socket backwards with a extension in it. take out the rubber in the socket that holds the spark plug and insert the extension where you would put the spark plug. i think its the 5/8 size. i actually made my own tool by cutting the socket in half and welding it to an old open end wrench i had. hope this helps.

They're a pain in the ***...get some pb blaster on there and wack away..or you can bring the frame/bike down to your honda dealer and borrow their tool it only takes 1 second to get that nut loose..the guys are cool at my dealer and let me borrow tools overnight.

dont even bother with the hammer/screwdriver on the lock nut, its not necessary.

Make one of these and put some muscle into it. Dont touch the lock nut at all

the guys at my dealership are *******,,wouldnt give ya free bottle of brake fluid,theyd make you put that **** on layway...

try a pepboys or napa if you have one around you. they might have the tool or the hardware.

Yup... that is exactly what i used.

I don't remember what size it is.. but it's not a tight fit, a lil loose, but does the job just fine.

For the lock nut.... just take an angle grinder to a socket of apropriate size, and grind the castle nut grooves out so it fits.

yea thats what im going to do...
i bought 2 sockets and a grinder for 40 bucks...thats 25-30 bucks cheaper then getting that ******* part at the dealers..:YEAH
