2002 CBR F4i CLUTCH PROBLEM!!!

hey i'm pretty confident that i completely burned my clutch out i have a 02 cbr f4i with 5200 miles on it... and the other night i did a burnout and stopped and went to start again and the back tire wasn't catching... well to make a long story short.. it will only move in 1st and that on level ground there is no throttle response at all just rolling... does this mean i need a completely new clutch???

yeah i just bought it used for 3500 so i'm not sure how it was ridden before.. but i've only put about 100 miles on it and i dunno what the deal is so just check my clutch cables up on the handlebars?

Re: 2002 CBR F4i CLUTCH PROBLEM!!!

my bike only has 3300 miles on it and the clutch has been slipping since I bought it with 1500 miles on it... at about 2500 miles i pulled it and found out that all the steels were completely blue with hotspots... so apparently the previous owner of my bike was very.... "special".

Re: 2002 CBR F4i CLUTCH PROBLEM!!!

so based on how i've described it you think i need a new clutch? i'm telling you on a flat road i'll put it in first and let the clutch out without using any gas and it won't stall it'll just roll slow but no matter what i do with the throttle there's no response... you think just adjusting the cables will correct that problem?

i have a buddy that burned one up in 1200miles, he'd hold the throttle wide open when he switched gears. the metals were shot and the fibers were not looking so healthy.....
