cutting the f4i pipe
i am about to chop my f4i pipe. can i a cut 1inch from cap and then cut another 3inches up to the "H"in honda on the stocker. and then weld the cap back on without cutting any chambers inside the pipe?

Re: cutting the f4i pipe
an easier mod would be to cut the neck off your f4i stocker and stuff a 05 Gxsr-1000 pipe in there, which is short already. NO welding, very little cutting, more low end, less weight, sounds 10x better, no back pressure loss, still quiet-ish,
I love mine, i had a cut leo vince and I threw that one to the fishes after this mod

Re: cutting the f4i pipe
Here the GSXR mod, there really not much to it. Take your F4i stocker and cut the neck off. Take a 05 GSXR 1000 stock exhaust and stuff it in there, use the clamp from the gsxr pipe to tighten the F4i neck onto the gsxr neck.
I wrapped a single layer of duct tape around the gsxr neck before i shoved it in, so it would melt, harden and make a air tight seal.
The gsxr pipe will also fit, and bolt right up the the foot bracket like magic.
I have a mxd cage and as you can see it will hit just a little.

Re: cutting the f4i pipe
im glad you asked, I forgot to mention that above. Im going to remove it at some point,
but for a quick fix I took mine and turned so that it was open and right in the middle, then I took some quick steel and put it over the screw part of the valve that sticks out of the outside of the pipe (the part I used to turn it), it hasnt moved a bit in the last 8 months
