Brake Fluid Question

inconsitant brakes is my problem! sometimes it has great feel and pressure an sometimes it has almost dead feeling an i have to use alot more pressure. and its not neccesarily when its how or cold... it can be one circle combo or one straightline wheelie its great and the next pass it gab'age! my guess is jus dirty/old fluid...

my question is whats the best method you guys got for flushing the system of all that ****...

my only idea is jus open the rear caliper bleeder and jus pump the hand brake and keep filling the res. till the fluid looks new?!

help me haahha

Re: Brake Fluid Question

just put your finger over the bleeder while your doing it so it lets the fluid out and doesn't let air in

Re: Brake Fluid Question

maybe the hose method would be better in this sitiuation , just slip a hose over the bleeder and put the other end up so when you pump it will pump out fluid but not suck in air that way when your done flushing it there will be no need to bleed out any air

Re: Brake Fluid Question

i heard if you change brake fluids from like standard dot4 to the motul600 that it wears out the seals inside the caliper and can damage the lines overime as well. what you guys think? i want to swap my fluid out with better fluid but dont wanna chance something going bad and sending me over the bars sometime

Motul600 is Compatible with all SAE J1703, DOT 3 and 4 fluids. I don't see how it could cause any problems. I've never had any problems since I switched over 4-5 yrs ago on my 03 636.
