Re: single to dual headlight help

i cant sleep so ive been staring at this picture. if its right, hooray for me. if its wrong, blame it on lack of sleep.

would wire 1 go to the black, 2 and 3 to the white, then 4 to the yellow? or is that completely wrong?

Ground is a ground, no matter what. They can both ground to the same place or seperate. So whatever is ground on ur bulbs (ex. 1 and 3, hook them up to the black whire)..Now 2 is hot on ur low beam, hook it to white. Now 4 is hot on ur high beam, but u also want BOTH lights on hi, so u need ur 2 wire AGAIN. Hook 2 and 4 to the yellow wire (now they both work on bright).....Do u kinda get the hint...=-)

It will never hurt to blow a fuse in the process of learning. As long as its a fuse, it can replaced and ur wiring can be rewired...Will not hurt to try...=-)
