cop signing off on my bike, any recomendations?
I'm getting my salvage title switched to "rebuilt" or whatever. i guess i need to call a cop to my house and have them look over ****. I've got the factory upper/headlights/blinkers mounted on my F4i, and i've got tail lights and rear blinkers. i've got gauges, and should be able to borrow some mirrors to slap on it as early as monday. got a horn and plate light too. I thought i'd leave the my SI cage on, do you think thats a bad idea? i want this to go as smooth as possible.... I think i have my bases covered, but if anyone has any advice that would be great!

I didnt put the vin on there, the salvage company did all that crap. i have a title that says its a "2006 motorcycle" even though its an 02 F4i. its just saying that it was reconstructed in 2006. thats how it was explained to me. so i think its more like a custom on paper. they said it was able to be street legal again... if it turns out i cant do it i'll be pissed as hell. Lot bikes are cool and all, but i dont want one right now. i'll be curious to how this works... Everything was 110% legit that i've done, so i'm not really worried about a cop checkin it out.

ha ha- yeah- nothin sneaky. the person that put my vin plate on was a retard though. they put it smack on the side of the frame, and used some TINY *** rivets.... one of which broke already...

just an update, cop came by, the guy was cool as hell. didnt seem to care if anything was street legal, just basically wanted to make sure it wasnt stolen. then i rode up to the BMV and they didnt even look at my bike, so now my bike is 100% street legal on paper! thanks for the replies though! i'd rather be over-prepared than under.
