Prepping for powdercoat.

I have a frame, swingarm, subframe, and wheels that need to be prepped for powdercoat. Unfortunately I was a douche and spray painted and clear coated most of it. What would be the best route to get it all ready to go? Sandblasting? What about the bearings in the swingarm and head tube?

Re: Prepping for powdercoat.

no bearings in the head tube, just races which if the sand blasting place has a employee with any sign of a brain, he will tape it off with 2-3 layers of duct tape, if they dont look smart, make sure to tell them NOT to blast the insides of the head tube, swing arm bearings must be pressed out... most the time they have plastics retainers that would melt in the oven while the powder coat cures.

Sand blasting runs about $75-$100 an hour. and your looking at about 1 1/2 hours.

And yeah sandblasting is your BEST option. **** will take years useing chemical strippers and make sure to not touch the metal with your bare hands after sand blasting.
