neutral gauge light flickering, not able to start bike

ok, i have a 2001 f4 I. i fixed the ground problem by wiring a ground from the frame to the tank. Now, my neutral light flickers on and off at idle and when i hit my starter button there is nothing and the neutral light goes away. I have to push start the bike but it runs fine after starting

what ground problem did you have? check wires from neutral switch or check switch.

I have the exact same problem, the bike works fine, neutral can be found like normal when cold, once it's heated up good and I stall, it takes me like 2 mins to find the neutral, if I play with it good it will start. Pisses me off, so I did the neutral bypass to hope it will fix it but wondering if anyone is familiar with this problem if this will fix it or just patch it.
