Help pulling an F4i motor
I've never actually pulled an F4i motor before. Whats the proper way to get those crown shaped doohickies out? The ones that lock the bolts in place. Like the swingarm bolt and whatnot

Hey what kind of record times are people changing f4i motors in?
Im down to about 2 hours doing the job by myself but I know I can improve on that.

those damn crown nuts suck. got them on my superhawk. i dremeled the socket to have the 4 teeth to match the crown on the nut. and good luck getting one from honda. apparently you cant order one unless you are a dealership (...or know people that are cool at the dealership)

Re: Help pulling an F4i motor
Do I need one of those goddamn Honda tools to do this ie. do those crown nuts need tlo be loosened? Or can I just use a proper allen key on the right side to hold 'er steady, while I use my (goddamn expensive) 27mm impact driver on the left side?

I dont even bother loosening the crown nut. When you loosen the 12mm hex, it takes the crown nut with it.
when you put the new motor in:
tighten the hex bolt finger tight, then back it out half a turn
then tighten the crown nut finger tight
then you tighten the hex bolt, and it automatically tightens the crown nut
put some muscle into it
