when you put the new motor in:

tighten the hex bolt finger tight, then back it out half a turn
then tighten the crown nut finger tight
then you tighten the hex bolt, and it automatically tightens the crown nut

put some muscle into it

unless the ones on your bike are overtightened
and then you are fucked unless you make a tool for it.

we took a 1 1/8 socket and cut 4 prongs to fit the crown , thats prolly the easiest way we found
