f4 growling

hey first day with my ram air off just straight airbox and one emissions hose.. everytime i clutch it up the bike's airbox makes a growling noise, i'm assuming this is normal because the airbox is now less restricted?

Re: f4 growling

I dont know what the emissions hose is as we Euro bikes don't have them, but if you have 2 large holes open in the air box from the ram air ducts then just duct tape over one of them and leave the other open.. cuts the noise down a lot and I've not noticed any running problems or anything.

Re: f4 growling

ok sparks thanks for the real advice i'll tape one side up today and see how she runs.. i'm not sure if the smaller hose is for emissions at all i looked it up in my clymer manual and its for hte "direct air induction system" but its the small hoses not the huge ram air.. oh well its not running as rich today as she was the first day so hopefully it stays good.
