Re: little help finding a part for my bike,

I know exactly what you're talking about. They look like brass and spread out when there's a screw put in them. They come in a lot of stock uppers and they usually rip right out if someone screws the headlight in too tight or something. Try a local hardware store and see what you can rig to work because I don't know if you can order those individually since they usually come included in the fairing.

Check out:
http://www.captive-fastener.com/3ddownloads.html

See if you can find something from them to work for you.

Re: little help finding a part for my bike,

Check LOCKHART and Phillips they used to sell a tool to install RIVNUTS they are used in subframes. Basically a steel insert that goes into an aluminum part. They are like a pop rivet they expand when you pump them in with the tool. I know this is not what you want exactly but they do not sell these OEM because they are molded in the part when it was made. But this tool works perfect for this fix. I have fixed many plastic dirtbike tanks for customers who cannot put there radiator shrouds on with out cross threading the ******* bolts.
