F4i Won't Start -- HELP!!!
About two weeks ago my f4i died mid-circle. It just shut off. After a minute or two I got it running, however when I rev'd it, it would start cutting out for a fraction of a second here and there and then after 15 minutes it was running fine.....WEIRD. The next day I loned it to a friend who was doing a show nearby...after an hour of riding it, it completely died.
The starter will turn the motor, however it won't start. I found that it is getting fuel, but no spark. There is no damage to the wiring harness and the tip-over sensor is bypassed. I tested all the fuses, the ECU, ignition cylinder and ignition pulse generator (inside clutch cover) and all are working fine. Im all out of ideas...
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THE F&*$ MY BIKE ISN'T GETTING SPARK?

You're positive it's not getting spark?

Most common problem seems to be fuel pumps going bad but if you aren't getting spark there goes that idea. ECU possibly. Got another one you could try?

Yea, I already pulled an ECU from a friends F4i and tried it in mine (no luck)...I even tried my ECU in his bike (worked fine). It's definately not the fuel pump -- it primes the way it should when I turn the red switch to "RUN". I also smell a $hit load of gas when I sit on the starter for more then 5 seconds.
