Re: bike running stupid hot????

dude if his rad cap was bad he would know it....I believe your thermostat is stuck (if your bike has one), thats the most logical thing....

Just replace the termostat it's cheap and will most likely fix the problem. If you choose to remove it the bike will run cooler and will have a bit less power since it's made to run between 180-190.It average less mpg too.

Re: bike running stupid hot????

Just do the thermostat bypass mod... wire in a switch parallel to the thermostat. If the bike doesn't get hot with the switch on, then you have a bad thermostat. If it still gets hot, it was still worthwhile doing the mod, and when you track down the problem you still have yourself a switch to turn your fan on whenever you want.

you mean the tempeture sending unit mod ,the thermostat is what regulates coolant flow by opening up when the temp gets hot and slowing the coolant flow when the bike is cold so it can warm up quicker
