tank wheelies

sit on tank....pull clutch in rev high and drop that ****....takes a lot more power from the bike to get you up while sitting on the tank than a regular wheelie because of all the weight in the front....also if you get up in the tank wheelie position it helps to lean back so you dont slide back down to the seat

And you do it like this
Sit on the tank in first gear with your feet over the headlights, pull in the clutch redline that bitch pop the clutch yank back as soon as you do it and your away in a wheelie or something like that

denting in your tank helps alot even though i could do tank wheelies w/out surfboard grip or skateboard grip or even a dented tank i had alot of close calls slipping off the tank so you betta do something quick!

i just started doing these over the weekend on my 929. When i came down my front end smashed (again) and i got all crazy, i saved it but got a sprained wrist.
my question, how do you let it down easily? that's where i run into problems, i come down hard and almost flip off the front.

Coming down hard on ya huh?, thats easy to fix
when your coming down from the tank wheelie, or spread eagle, as your coming down bring your legs back down while giving IT GAS, im telling you this is what ya do, as your coming down give it gas, bring your legs down then hop back to the seat, hope that helps

first thing, start stretching, helps out alot, when you hop on the tank get your inner thighs touching your arms, pop the clutch and kick them feet out and up, not forward, heres a pic

Tank wheelies aren't that hard at all, also it will prolly depend on what kind of bike you have for what you will have to do to get the front wheel up, on my R6 I can power it up sitting on the tank but on my buddy's gixxer I have to clutch it up...

Yeah, the tank will dent in. If you plan to do any kind of stunts on the tank, you might as well go ahead and purchase a rubber mallet and pound it in.
I say this because if you use the mallet you can get a good form to it, making it comfortable. If not, you may come down wrong and have an odd dent making other stunts or attempts difficult.
