controls don't fit with clipons (f4)

I am trying to put a pair of vortex clipons on my bike. I am putting them on flipped and reversed. I got the left one done with no problems, but the right one is a different story. All was good until I went to put on the brake lever w/ the resivoir.
Two problems:
1. The resivoir doesn't stick out from the bar far enough to clear the clipon clamp on the fork tube.

2. The res. would be hitting the front cowl even if it did clear the clamp.

Can the stock brake setup be used with the clipons? Or do you need to get a brake with a little plastic res. that can be moves somewhere else. Any pics of a set up that works would help.

Wasting riding time till I can figure this out....

I could never get an upper mounted with FI clipons on the F4, w/ 929 front end.

Not a chance. The res. hit at 10degree turn and something drastic would've had to change to get it to work.

I'll be taking the grinder to the fairing stay tomorrow after work, I have managed to get the clamp for the brake tight enough to stay for now.

the stock MC is 5/8, while the r6 is 14mm. so you get a lil more feel in the lever!
