F4 Fork oil level????

Just wondering if anyone could tell me the right measurement for the fork oil on a 99 F4. I can't find my bible on this bike anywhere. You know dealerships... need I say more. The help would be appreciated.

Re: F4 Fork oil level????

Do you happen to know what the actual measurement would be. From level of fluid to top???

Re: F4 Fork oil level????

Yeah, a tape measure. I measured it out at 4.6" from the top and it's really close to what you gave me. So I'm gonna call it "good enough for who it's for." I appreciate the help..

or just a metric ruler. i used it all the time. you pour a little, measure, pour a little, measure. keep going until it just barely touches. i forget my fork oil tool at the shop all the time.

i would have to check on that, i thought i knew because i just did my forks, but a solid number doesn't ring a bell right now so i don't want to quote the wrong level for you.

Re: F4 Fork oil level????

All good. like I said before. It's good enough for who it's for. I'm not planning on doing too many stoppies right now anyway. Gotta work on the BP. Thanks again for all the help everyone.
