Changing sprockets

How much work is involved in changing front and rear sprockets on an 01 R6. Ive never done it before and was wondering how long it should take.

Re: Changing sprockets

It should take around an hour tops...a helpful hint...break loose the front sprocket nut first by holding the back brake and putting it in gear before removing the rear rim so you can use it to apply tension and the sprocket not move.

Re: Changing sprockets

Don't know if the 01 has the same size nuts and bolts as my 05 but - 32mm for front sprocket and rear axel /17mm for nuts on rear sprocket/ 12mm chain slack adjusters/10mm coolant overflow bottle and a set of metric allen wrenchs for all others. Like I said this is what I needed for my 05 yours may be diff. 01 is a totaly diff. bike
