05 636 Help Needed Baddd...

ok, here is my situation... I bought an 05 636... it was an auction bike bought by a parts dealer.. the dealer sent the bike to me... the bike was modified for an aftermarket exaust.. thus the butterfly vaulve thing was removed...(half moon thing under the seat).... the parts dealer put a stock exaust back on it.. I know I have to remove the cables and the buttefly valve thing from the exaust and the top moon thing from the black box under the seat... However they forgot the send the bracket that is braced between the subframe under the seat.. on the brace has the bracket to connect to the tank.. and the tip over sensor...

My bike will run for about 8 seconds then shut off... I guess im looking for a solution to bypass the tip over sensor because I dont have one... on the wire harnes under the seat their are 2 plugs... 1 is for the fuel injection and the other is for the tip over sensor (i have tried to bridge the plug - 3 wires are coming from it... maybe someone might know what I am doing wrong or their is another solution...)

After all day today and talking to numerous people I have yet to find out how to get my bike to stay running without the tip over sensor...

This is the best way I can describe it... If no one knows anything about what I am trying to describe i might try and post some pics to give you a better look at what im talking about...

Im dieing to ride my bike?? Can someone help me without confusing me????

Thanks

Re: 05 636 Help Needed Baddd...

the problem isn't the tip over sensor. it wouldn't run at all with that taken off.....it cuts the fuel pump.

the problem is there is no pully on the exhaust valve motor. When you start the bike the motor goes full lock both ways to set the parameters of the exhaust valve. If you don't have a pully there then it goes too far and throws a code. On aftermarket exhausts you have to put a bracket on top of the motor arm so it can calibrate. go to two brothers website and buy their little aluminum bracket for that and it will fix the problem.

he says it does run but dies....something that definately will not happen with a tip over switch missing.
