How to Sync your TB's
So I searched for the past 20 minutes looking for "how to" sync your throttle bodies, and I couldn't find on here "how to" actually do it. I have an F4i, and the low end bog is kind of annoying I want to make sure my bike is running 100% ****. How do you actually sync the throttle bodies on an F4i?

Re: How to Sync your TB's
You need a set of 4 side by side vacuum gauges.
You lift up your gas tank and take off your airbox. Look in the service manual and it will show you the 4 hoses that you need to connect to each gauge. The manual also says what gauge you use for reference. With your bike on idle, you want to make the other 3 gauges' readings match the reference one by turning the little screws on the throttle bodies.
This is a pretty **** poor explanation, but it's all in your service manual...
Edit: Also, for vacuum gauges, they have to be able to average out the readings, so you can't use those little $10 ones from Autozone. You can get a set of mercury gauges to do that from cyclegear for like $70.

Pretty much the same for all fuel injuection as this link. You'll need a vaccume gauge set or mercury gauge. If you do a google search for homemade mercury gauge there is a way to make your own out of tubing and a yard stick..Ebay has a four vaccume gauge set for this for $50..

I wanna sync mine, do you have to use those side by side gauges? I cant just use regular vacuum gauge and get a reading from the #1 cylinder than (say it reads 13) then go to #2 and adjust it to read 13. then same for #3 & #4.
Im guessing no,but thought I'd ask.

Re: How to Sync your TB's
It's a pain to do them individually with one guage, but it can be done.
In my opinion, spend the money and get a set of sticks, or a couple more vacuum guages.
Most carb/ TB syncs follow the same procedure.
1. Either there is a set master (#1) and you set the rest to match
2. Or you set 1 and 2 together, then 3 and 4, then match the two pairs.
Technically, carb or TB should be re-adjusted every time they are disturbed.

Bottle trick is pretty cool. Does the same thing that the sticks do.
On a side note. Just had to order a new set of sticks recently and they no longer come with mercury. Filled with some strange blue alien fluid. Non toxic and does the same job well.
