problems mounting 954 rear wheel on 929...
buddy of mine gave me a set of 954 wheels. i just got my rear brake bracket back from the welder and was going to put the 954 wheels on because it has a better tire. from what i know they are neer identical. when i tried to put it on it was to wide and the sproket was loose and was almost falling off the rim. so after many curse words i decide to try my other wheel. it goes on with out any problems. WTF? am i just missing something or do i need different bearings or cush drive? thanks for the help.

no paint. they are stock. every thing is 929 except the wheel. i will try it again. why is the sprocket almost falling out of the 954 rim and snug in the 929 rim. humm maybe my mistake is there.

did both have own cush drives or not? if the 'sprocket' is falling, you are talking about cush drive. maybe there is some cush drive rubber mislocated or something, take the cush out and check it.

Are you sure you have the right cush drive spacer between the wheel and the cush drive? If the sprocket wobbles it sounds like you forgot to put the spacer between the cush and the rim
