2004 GSXR Idle problems
Just curious if anyone has tryed to disable the secondary throttle valves into the full open position on any of these bikes. Seems like the computer still controls the idle some even with it jacked up. Makes it reall unstable at times.

Re: 2004 GSXR Idle problems
Thanks. Yeah mines not real bad, idle is pretty much stable just doesn't seem to ride idle as smooth as the 636 or f4i's do. figured it must have been getting controlled by the computer at times. I check the manual and really no way to just take the STA off completly and if it's disconnected it defaults to closed not open, oh well just keep rocking it like it is for now. Pray for a hondu this winter..

my boy alex 287ridah can back this...there is no reasonable fix for the random inconsistant gsxr idle....
urs prolly sounds good till u get it up at bp then the idle ***** out and pulls real low huh.....
good luck, try not to compare to 636 or f4i....thats not even fair

Instead of locking it open, I just unscrewed the plates. You don't have to turn that hard. Just don't drop the screws down the throttle bodies. Works great, except you need a power commander to smooth out the off idle and mid range.
