Top flathead screw clicker is REBOUND (labeled TEN for Tension) the more you tighten that the slower the rebound will be (good for stoppies)

The BOTTOM flathead screw clicker is COMPRESSION... lossening that will soften up the forks

The 14mm hex on the top of the fork is preload on the spring, lossen that to soften the front end...

hopw that helps.

There is the one on top of each leg...

AND there is one on the bottom of each leg... it's tucked away by where the brake calipers mount up... keep looking, you'll find it

was it a stunt bike?

If so then it was prolly his gansta stoppie setup

If not, then it was prolly just a big guy (180 lbs is big in 600cc sportbike world) that liked a stiff riding bike?!?!?!

Glad we could help

Re: 636 forks too stiff

I had my front set up stock and slammed a few down kinda hard.. It cracked my upper. Not sure if this concerns you, I stiffend it up a bit now when I chop the throttle it doesn't come in contact w/my fender.

Hopfully you have a little better throttle control than I do.
