954 pipe/airbox mod...
I put in a new motor in my 02 954 and need to know how to mod the pipe and air box which have cables and flaps and shi7. I read somewhere that all that shi7's not needed? has anyone done this mod? any info on this is appreciated.

fireblades.org has some info, at least abou the 'flapper mod'. that's the airbox flap.
Exhaust valve can be wired to some position or removed completely. Also firm called HASS motorsport used to do HTEV valve eliminators.
Just don't say anything about stunting in fireblades.org, they gonna flame you *** if you do.

thanks for the info man. I was talking about that little device next to the frame under the airbox. It has some cables that connects to the exhaust valve? can I eliminate the exhaust valve and remove that device or diconnect it?

yep, that little device is the servo motor that handles the exhaust valve and the airbox valve.. It has three cables(one for airbox and two for exhaust valve). You can remove the exhaust valve and the airbox valve(flapper), but you cannot remove the servo motor. if you do, you get some fuel injection error light all the time.
I haven't removed them. I actually removed the airbox flapper, but I think the difference is minimal, maybe little less torque low down. So I installed it back, and I like it.
