i took the fairings off and went with an acerbis headlight to try and improve airflow, which has helped quite a bit but it still overheats like a b1tch.
i do have a kn filter and full exhaust and the bike runs rich as hell some people are telling me that may be it, i get flames n **** shooting out my pipe sometimes.

Its not that it leaks its not sealing and allowing the sytem to vent.....GET A NEW CAP.
I never thought it would do this but belive me my buddys FireHawk was over heating and it fixed it immediatly.....(sp)

Re: GSXR overheating
I had the same problem, did thermostat thing, rad cap, rigged fan.. check ur sensor, it might be bad, n yes it has a sensor, its for the heat or some BS, anyway, mine used to shoot out water when I was at a stop (from the breather tube), then when i was rollin again no water would shoot... rolling, the highest it would get was about 200, stopping the highest i let it get was 225...... Make sure that sensor isn't corroded, they're like $30....
