636 overheating

636 overheating

So i wrecked my bike a couple weeks ago and just put it all back together. when i wrecked my radiator barely got bent at the bottom not the whole radiator just the fins or whatever got bent up. I rode at our spot last night and my bike kept getting real hot gauges blinking hi. My fan is hooked up to a switch and was on the whole time. i cant figure it out i checked and i have plenty of fluid anyone have any ideas??????

turn your fan on and put a plastic bag in front of it. if it **** to the rad you are good if not you have it wired reverse.

i put my hand in front of the fan and can feel the air blowing out, so thats not it.

im no expert but shouldnt the fan be blowing in the air? not blowing it out. somethings reversed....

haha exactly I reversed my fan on accident one time by wiring it different and couldn't figure out why it was over heating so easily. I finally realized I was an idiot and had the fan moving in the wrong direction.

The fan must pull the air through the radiator, if it blows it through the radiator its pulling all the heat from the headers which = much higher temperature of air.
