WELL THATS PRETTY MUCH MY MAIN PROB. THE THING KEEPS ON BLOWING MAIN FUSES, MOSTLY WHEN THE BIKE IS HOT OR COMES DOWN FROM A HARD WHEELIE? HAS ANY ONE EXPIRENCED THIS PROB AND WHAT WAS THE CURE

PLEASE HELP IM SCARED ITS GONNA POP A FUSE WHEN IM SCRAPIN HC OR SUMTHIN THEN I'LL BE OUT.

did you check all the grounds? Its probably a loose ground or you could have a couple wires that got hot and melted together. just get a wiring diagram and run over the bike. Have you messed with any of the wires lately?? new lights or anything?

its a short in your harness find it. when the bike gets hot the wires get softer from the heat and what ever is pushing on the harness is peircing the wire and causing it to go to ground and pull to much power blowning the main fuse. see it all the time it could be any where

i'll be the third person to say you have a grounded wire somewhere

god i friggin love you people, i looked it all over and when i took my upper off i had to find sumwhere to tuck all that extra wire that goes to my headligths blinkers etc. etc. and the wires got hot and melted together which explains why they only pop when the bikes hot

where does everyone else hide all the extra wires that hang out the front left side of your bikes when you take your upper fairings off?

what are the ground points sum guys said loose grounds, i will look em all over but how many grounds are there and if any 1 knows where thats a bonus, i need to look em over and tighten em up


this situation could have been my life! we were doing sum high speed shots and i was playin roulette just going for it hoping the fuses wouldnt blow

yeah, elec. tape works good on wiring harnesses

electrical tape, with a zip tie on each end to hold the tape on

also, i stuffed some of my wires in the air box

doesnt that restrict air flow? or is that where every 1 hides there wires

try to use butt connectors or barrel connectors if you dont want it to fail again go for some of the marine (as in boat) type sh-t that way they stay corrosion free and dont melt away or you could get the walmart ones and silicone each end, sorry e-tape does work, but i am an automotive electrician by trade and hate hack jobs with tape that heats up and gets sticky and then when you need to fix it you have to wash the sticky crap off your hands every five minutes cause you cant hold sh-t.. its a pet peev what can i say hope that gives you some ideas
