What do you guys think.
I have a 02 f4i, never had a problem with powering up 1st gear wheelies. I can't bonce 2nd right now, I guess I just need to practice more. I have a 15 t sprocket for the front and was wondering what would this do if I put it on. I have not tried it yet b/c 50% ppl say its bad on your bike and 50% say that incorrect.

what is the stock size on the f4i? If it is 16 the do it going down one tooth in the front wont be a problem..I am not sure about the f4i but on my r6 down one in the front =up 3.5 in the rear i you should definelty notice a bit of a difference..

The only thing "bad" for the bike is that your revs will be higher when in top gear than before. The sprocket will wear out a 1/16th quicker because it now revolves more due to smaller size. Your odometer and speedometer will be further off than the normal 8% optimistic error from the factory.
The REAL bad comes in with how you ride it. You're gonna beat on it doing wheelies, does it matter really?

one down in the front is the norm thing to do with any bike around here. seems like all my friends do that to their 600's the first thing when they get them.
and yes, it knocks your speedo off but you can spend the money on that yellow box to fix it, or just say screw it like we all do.
stock gearing, you should be able to get that bike up....people tell me all the time that it's their bike until they let me hop on it and i ride it through 3rd gear stnading up on their bike.
and i've found i ride them better on my friends stock 2001 gixxer 600 than my 929.....i don't know why but wheelies on that gixxer 600 is perfect with my riding style.
it just takes practice man...keep working at it and in a couple weeks you'll wonder why you even had a problem
