Broke My pipe..

Broke My pipe..
I was practicing tonight and dropped it. When I started it back up, it was loud as hell. I look down and the pipe is broke all the way around, just below where the slipon bolts on.
So what is going to be cheaper. Have a local welder do it(and I have had bad experiences with welders in this town). Or rent a MIG welder and practice a lil then do it myself. Or just buy one off Ebay? I am going to need one in the future, but really can't afford it right now.
How easy is it to do MIG if you have never welded before. Quick learner thought!!

Re: Broke My pipe..
MIG looks easy, but it takes a lot of practice to get it right.
I suggest take your can to the muffler shop to get it done right, then in the future, get your welding rig so you can practice a bunch before you try it for real. Done right, a weld should be as strong or stronger as the origional piece, before the break. Done wrong, and it not only weakens the break, but the surrounding metal as well.
