I want to get one made up, however I was told that the 04 gixxers have weak subframes for 12 bars and that they should be reinforced. Do you or know somebody who has done their gixxer and let me know the best way to go about it.

do a search for subframe, if this site's search doesn't work, you can use google. we've got at least 10 threads on this in the last 8 or so months.

I have tried a search here and never found a bigs lot. Will do a longer search here and see what comes up.

take 1/8 steel flat stock, make braces that go from front rearset bolt to rear passenger peg bolts, thats the easiest way to add support.

I'll have to ask around. I looked in the hardware stores and Home Depot but didn't find any. have to look more I guess.

you run a piece of steel from the bolt of the 12bar mount. since there's 2 bolts to the 12bar, you run one bolt to one 12bar mount from the subframe bolt, and the other 12bar bolt to the other subframe mount bolt. just play connect the dots.
